I'm so happy that everyone enjoyed the first post of the "Get To Know" section. Now we're here for round two - this time with The Unassisted.

are you?
Jason
Hughes: Guitar, Moody Vocals, songsmith. Age 32 from Angle of Danglesey adopted
Mancunian... Computer geek and guru AND Jimi Hendrix music Lover!

Mark
Beese: Bass Guitar, acoustic guitar. Age 35, True Mancunian#2, Motorcycle
fanatic and toxophilist! Previous Band: Fake Empire
Chris
Bertenshaw: Drums, Bongos & Triangle. Age 40, True Mancunican #1, loves 80's
and Gary Newman, previous band Fake Empire
Interesting
fact: Two of the members are twins! But guess which ones are!

How
would you describe your music?
The
Unassisted are a 3 piece band from Manchester, the founding member of the band
is Jason. His music history dates back many years and he has written many songs
for various bands he's previously played in, in the past decade. His musical
influences are wide and varied and include Jimi Hendrix and bluesy styles.
Lenny Kravitz, The Verve, Weller Black Rebel Motorcycle club, Led ZEP and Pink
Floyd are what floats his boat. The Bassist, Mark has a ecletic taste in music
from Jamiroquai, Faithless, Swedish House Mafia and most kinds of House music
to Muse, Stereophonics, Kravitz, Foo Fighters, The Killers and The Manics.
Chris's influences range from New Order, Smiths, Stone Roses, Placebo, Boxer
Rebellion and Brit Funk ( Level 42)
What
does music mean to you?
Music
to us a means so many different things. Its a release of ideas and inspiration,
a freedom to do something different from the norm. We're slightly unique in the
fact we just like operating as a 3 piece group and somehow we get quite a big
sound. We have so many ideas coming through all the time for videos and our
music we're always busy in the studio. But mostly we're great mates and always
open to ideas and suggestions, no band politics going on here!! The style
we like to think we reside in is Vintage indie alternative Rock, Its a new
Genre... You heard it here first!!
What
have you released?
The
music released so far is on Sound Cloud, Reverbnation, and Band camp.

I personally think that's the coolest thing a band could do for us bloggers, ever!
