Happy photographs
Hey guys,
the sun finally showed up for a few days again and that was exactly what I was waiting for.
I was craving to go outside and finally take pictures of other things than snow, rain clouds and muddy sideways.
So last week I went to a pretty little lake and took pictures of everything that caught my attention.
While editing the pictures for this blogpost I realized that somehow whenever I look at them I get happy. It's totally weird but I guess the colourful flowers and the cute animals just totally make me smile.
Of course the pictures have to be shared, so here they are. I hope they'll make you smile.
Get To Know: Richie Ashwin

Hey guys,
those of you who read my last post already know what's coming up now - a new section.
Since more and more musicians are willing to work with me and are also asking me to work with them I decided it was time for a new section.
The "Spotlight On:" posts will still be a big part of HITS but there's this new section that actually does the same thing as the "Spotlight On:"s, it's here to introduce musicians.
The "Spotlight On:" posts will still be a big part of HITS but there's this new section that actually does the same thing as the "Spotlight On:"s, it's here to introduce musicians.
But it's a bit different: instead of only me writing about the artist/band, it's them introducing themselves on "Get To Know:"
I asked them simple and basic question, not like in an interview (definitely not!), just like on the first day of school where you have to introduce themselves.
Let's kick this section of with: Richie Ashwin. I'll be quiet now and let Richie do his part. Enjoy!
I need YOU + updates
Hey guys,
it's one of my famous update posts again.
But before I start to update you all I want to ask for your help.
Yesterday evening I got the idea for a new little project - a playlist

Interview: The Cape Race

A day at the beach: the waves crash against the rocks,
the sky colours the water light blue,
people lay in the sun and relax,
children run around and collect sea shells,
couples walk along the beach,
a family takes pictures for the family albums,
a few people build a house.
A house in the sand.
And as they build it, they talk about things,
things that go on in their lives.
And you are invited to listen to them.
Hey guys,
it's time for a nice interview again.
This time Matt from The Cape Race sat down and answered my question.
The Cape Race is a rock band from Manchester, consisting of David Moloney (vocals), Matt Sayward (guitar), Adam Lewis (bass, vocals), Scott Perkins (guitar) and Jonny Davis (drums)
(To read more about them click here.)
Now see what the guitarist Matt told me about songwriting, getting ideas at 4am, their bucket list and more.
Spotlight On: museum.
Hey guys,
time to get the spotlight working again and put it on: museum.
museum is a electronic indie rock band from Berlin, Germany.
That's how the guys from museum would describe them, in a very simple and minimalist way. I am very very happy and honored to give you guys a proper description of who museum are.
Musikmesse Frankfurt 2013. Part 2.
Hey guys,
here is the promised part two of my Musikmesse adventure.
(Read part one here.)
This post is all about the instruments which I honestly all wanted to steal.
It's been such an incredible feeling walking through the halls where tons of musicians were trying out the instruments. The sound of about five hundred people playing tons of different instruments and tons of different chords was magical. (And causing a slight headache after standing next to a mad drummer for way too long.)
Musikmesse Frankfurt 2013. Part 1.
Hey guys,
as most of you know I went to the Musikmesse Frankfurt yesterday.
And well, I'm back home with tons of impressions for you.
I actually have to split the post about the Musikmesse into two parts.
Part one, which is this post will be about the main facts and the award show I went to see, including a few artists.
Part two, which will be up tomorrow is going to be about the instruments.
Alright, for those of you who didn't have the chance to visit the Musikmesse yet, let me teach you some really interesting facts. (Watch the journalist in me creep out ;) )

Random Playlist.
Hey guys,
over the past few months I figured out that most of you really enjoy my playlist posts. I got very positive comments, so why not keep this tradition going?
The one I want to post today is not under a specific theme like the ones I've posted before (Autumn Playlist | Spring Playlist) - so why not call it the "Random Playlist".
On this playlist you can find songs I've been enjoying a lot lately and felt like sharing with you. (Some of them are considered as "old songs" but you know, I don't really care about that.)
Here we go:
Some photos...
Hey guys,
(is anyone actually sick and tired of this welcome? Just wondering...)
I recently got a new lens for my camera.
(Camera: Canon 1100D | new lens: Sigma 70-300mm)
And since this lens is something completely new for me I had to practice (I still need to!) and get used to it.
So whenever I got the chance to, I took my camera with me and basically took pictures of everything that crossed my way.
This post is actually a bit "off-topic" but I just felt the need to share those pictures.
Spotlight On: Lions and Weasels.
50 (random) facts about me. Part 2.
Hey guys,
it's time for part 2 of the "50 (random) facts about me" tag.
People, I had such a hard time getting those facts done, it's unbelievable.
I desperately asked my Twitter followers to help me out, thank you, ladies!
Anyways, if you haven't read part 1 - there you go.

Wow, what a dramatic intro... That was great! :D
Alright, for real now - I am so happy to present you this interview I did with an incredibly talented group of people.
(to read more about them go here!)
Now see what Danielle (lead vocals, rhythm guitar, ukulele, piano), Lucas (backing vocals, lead guitar, mandolin, banjo) and Niclas (electric and upright bass) have to say about their influences, their band name, going through ups and downs and quite a lot more!
Each of them answered the questions separately.
