Hey guys,
Hey guys,
review time again.
Kosi, a singer/songwriter based in New York City, US mailed me her album.
I'm really about this because it actually includes sounds I don't usually listen to - blues and jazz.

It's not that I don't like these genres, it's just that I don't get the chance to listen to them very often.
Kosi mixes dramatic and heartfelt emotions into her music and creates absolutely honest and authentic songs that way.

Opener "Goodbye Pork Pie Hat" is a calm guitar focused instrumental only supported by melodic humming which makes your curious about how the singer sounds but also sets a nice scene.
Follow up and title track "One More Cup Of Coffee" finally releases the curiosity by letting you hear Kosi's voice.
Deep, slightly dark vocals lead and control the song. The reggae-ish guitar compliments Kosi's strong and powerful voice.
Most of the songs are rather laid back and soulful compositions.
Each track basically consists of the same elements - vocals and guitar. This is a point which can get a bit tiring for adventurous listeners who crave big variety. It's a simple production.

But still, I can imagine this album to be a wonderful soundtrack for autumn days to just relax and enjoy the warmth out the music.
