Interview: Michele Fasciano

A day at the beach: the waves crash against the rock,
the sky colours the water light blue,
people lay in the sun and relax,
children run around and collect sea shells,
couples walk along the beach,
a family takes pictures for the family albums,

a few people build a house.
A house in the sand.
And as they build it, they talk about things,
things that go on in their lives.
And you are invited to listen to them.

Hey guys,

did you recognize the intro? Exactly, it's house in the sand interview time again! I am so excited to present you this interview today.
The very talented DJ Michele Fasciano from Italy took time and answered my questions.

He is going to be the newcomer Electronic music fans are going to talk about soon! He's passionated,
he's talented,
 he's got some fresh ideas
and he's ready to conquer the music world.

Get to know Michele Fasciano by reading the interview.

Spring playlist.

Hey guys,

seems like Spring has arrived in good old Germany.
The birds sing beautiful songs, the sun warms you up and everyone's in a brighter mood. It's wonderful.

So with the first sunshine being spotted, for me the cold season is finally over.

No more waking up to a dark sky because the mornings now are light, no more grumpy people because the sunshine makes you happy. (Ok, there still are grumpy people, just not as much.)

You couldn't ask for more, right?
Wrong.
Actually there is one more thing to perfect every Spring day.
A Spring playlist!!!

And I am going to show you mine in ...

One year house in the sand.

image: itsnotaboutme.tv

Hey guys,

one year ago I started this blog. (Well actually it was on February 29th ... Really could not have found a better day to start a blog. Really.) So since that day only happens to appear every four years I decided to move this birthday one day forward.
It is crazy to think about how fast this year flew by.

This blog is like a little baby to me so I thought we all need to watch how the little house in the sand grew within this year. And what could be better than a best of to celebrate a birthday? (A cake, I know .. But there is none. Sorry.)

Blog re-launch.

Hey guys,

my one year anniversary is coming up and I don't have a giveaway planned. (Horrible me, I know!)
So I thought about a way to celebrate the day and came up with a re-design!

Spotlight on: The Cape Race.

image: twitter.com/thecaperace

Hey guys,

so as I tweeted yesterday: we are now at that point where I don't find great bands, but the great bands find me.

Means over the last few weeks about 9 bands followed me on Twitter (if you want to do that, too: @Vanyhoney | @houseinthesand) and some even sent me free songs.

So now I have a massive list of bands I need to check out and blog about. And to work on that list let's just introduce you the first one:

The Cape Race

Favourite female singers.

image: weheartit.com

Hey guys,

just yesterday I asked my lovely twitter follower if they were interested in a blogpost about my favourite female singers/vocalists and the response was incredible!
So I couldn't wait any longer and just had to re-shedule my posts to put this one online now.

So I guess, here we go!
The order is not relevant.

Note: I also know that there are tons of incredible female vocalists out there, I just wanted to write about those who I regularry listen to. ;)

The Grammys 2013 - my highlights.

And the night of music is over....

Hey guys,
I am incredibly tired because I basically stayed up until 5am to watch the Grammys. As a massive music lover it was the event of events to watch.

While watching my little notebook was next to me so I could write down my favourite moments to later have them in mind and blog about them. :)

I'm not going to talk about the whole show, only my favourite moments. ;)

Travel bucket list.

Oh the places we'll go ...

Hey guys,

home is where the heart is - definitely one of the truest sayings around. But sometimes your heart wants to see something different, not because it's not content with where it is but because it's itching to go on adventures.

That's pretty much how I feel right now. I love my home, it's the place I feel most comfortable at but I'd love to put that cozy feeling on pause and travel a bit.
