Gig Photos: Angus & Julia Stone at Liederhalle, Stuttgart

Hey guys!

One thing I've learned in 2017 (so far), is that you stumble upon the greatest things, when you are active and grab opportunities when you can.

The way I used to run house in the sand was really focused on certain plans and not looking left or right.
Sometimes, that's exactly how you need to handle things in order to get to a certain level.

But honestly, it's so much better to look left and right.
I can quite literally save you from being run over.
(Yes, that's a metaphor, not a traffic warning.)

So for the last few months of 2017, I've challenged myself to only look left and right and forget about all things centered.
And so far I'm loving it.

One thing on the list, was to photograph shows I wouldn't necessarily focus on.

James Blunt last week was the first one of those, followed by Angus & Julia Stone.
It wasn't that I didn't like their music, no- I just didn't know it.

But I went, I took photos and I fell in love with their stage presence.

And I hope you'll enjoy the photos you're about to see.

If you do, come over and say hi to me on Twitter or Instagram.

Date: 13th October 2017
Venue: Liederhalle (Hegelsaal), Stuttgart (Germany)

Support Act: Isaac Gracie

Isaac Gracie is a singer/songwriter from London, UK.

When you do your research about this artist, you'll find a lot of praise - written by journalists, radio promoters and media people in general - all talking about how mesmerizing, yet simple his presence is.

And then you listen to his music and end up being completely stunned by the intensity and depth it offers.

When he walked on stage with his drummer and bassist, then grabbed his guitar and started playing - he had already gotten the attention from a very curious audience.
That attention stayed with him for the entire set - due to him practically hypnotizing everyone with his powerful performance.

It's only a matter of time until this guy isn't just an "insider tip" in the industry anymore, so watch out.

Headliner: Angus & Julia Stone

Angus & Julia Stone are a duo from Newport, Australia.

The siblings have been making music for years and have released multiple albums over the years.

Their Folk sound is nothing but absolutely beautiful.
It's one of those sounds that you'll be able to identify a few notes into the song.

I wasn't able to stay for the entire show, but I really wish I had been able to.
As a photographer, you spend the first three songs in the photo pit to document the show, so I actually spend three songs freaking out about how beautiful their backdrop and light show was.

The show was versatile, it was emotional and it was full on magical.
I really hope the photos below will allow you to understand just how stunning the entire set up was.
