Song Of The Day: "All Rise (Play It Cool)" by Harts

Hey guys!

Music is an incredible thing, isn't it?
It's able to affect people in so many ways, it can mean so much, it can express feelings and opinions, it can transport emotions and yet it's nothing visible, nothing physical.

I get introduced to so many musicians all the time and even though I can't feature all of them, I have a lot of respect for every single artist I meet.

I'm very happy to introduce a very special act to you today and I hope you'll enjoy his art just as much as I do.

Ladies and gentlemen, meet Harts!

Harts is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer from Melbourne, Australia.
The variety of sounds he delivers is just as wide as his range of skills; Harts blends elements of funk, pop, rock and soul into his very own sound.

His live shows only consist of him and a drummer. Harts records the guitar, piano and bass with a loop station. He's already got lots of gigs on his CV, including opening the show for none other than Rod Stewart.
The legendary Prince flew him out to his Paisley Park Studios to meet and play with him, he then said "he reminds me of how I was at that age".
Harts' debut album which he released independently got him a lot of praise from big magazines such as the Rolling Stone, Vogue and many more.

"All Rise (Play It Cool)" is the first single from his forthcoming second album which is set to be released in March 2016.

The song is energetic, definitely danceable and very straight forward.
With Harts being known for his Jimi Hendrix like guitar skills, it's no surprise that you'll find a spot on guitar solo in the song.

There isn't one element in the song which leads you through the song, all parts matter equally and work together so well.

Harts' vocals shimmer in a soulful and demanding way, they set the scene and allow the instrumentals to unfold into a funky and upbate rock song.
Drums and bassline go hand in hand, the guitar is on fire and the vocals tie everything together.

To sum it up? This is class!
